Creative marketing techniques

Creative marketing… what is it? Any companies growth requires it to draw customers and communicate with them. This is marketing in its simplest terms. So what defines creative marketing? My belief in being creative is to think outside of the box. I believe comedians know what they are doing to become noticed they have to constantly reinvent the wheel, push the envelope, sit on the edge of being taboo… they have to think outside of the box. The best endings are ones you do not expect. It is like creating magic. To think you can do this alone is not the full truth. You have to employ other to make it happen successfully.

The mistake companies make is forget about the multiple avenues it takes to pull together a great image of their company and communicate the their appropriate audience. You company needs to consider its audience, employees, the product and then the expert who can funnel this achieve the desired success.

I like this blog article from the folks over at Boeing. I found it humorous.

Top 5 Branding TODO’s

Looking for some simple techniques to go by when branding your company? Try these.

1. Tell A Story – Before you can do anything you have to define what you want to achieve, who or what is your target, keep it simple, keep it good, capture the ingredients and then cook it up. Your company has this story of before during and after, but you have to write it first.

2. Good Visual – Like it or not we are all pretty superficial. Not always but alot of the time at firsts glance. We can take a movie that has taken years to develop with a great vision and very talented people involved and can pass or fail it based on our first impression. It is horrible, but it does reveal a truth that we have a short time to make an iconic impression that wins an individual over. You have to make that impression great.

3  Fresh Produce – Who is going to buy produce that is wilted and stale. You want something that is fresh and looks good. Constantly looking like it is alive and efforts exist. Same with your business.

4  The Buzz – Businesses forget that you can use others to promote your business. If you have a great look and a great product that draws people to you they will pass that name along. It is called “word of mouth” advertising. Capitalize on it.

5  Inside Out – Have you ever heard “what goes in must come out”? Of course you have. A company cannot neglect its core. Whether it is your employees,  your product or maybe even you. Do neglect the positive strengthening needed in this area, because if not it there will be an eventual negative reflection of your neglect. Customers want are loyal to a genuine core.

Importance of branding your company

You all remember that famous book from Lee Iaccoca about dressing for success. How do you dress? What is the image that your business projects. Sometimes your product, an event, you or some technical savvy make the business take off. Although these contributions are vital, as a ground work you can’t trust the stability of these techniques to be the center post to your business. You have to have an image that communicates who you are and what you are about. And do this in a matter of seconds. Combine this with technical savvy, great communication, a strong development of who you are and BAMM… there you have it.
